Book Review: The Market Maker's Edge

The Market Makers Edge
The Market Maker's Edge: Day Trading Tactics from a Wall Street Insider is written by Joshua Lukeman. The trading book was published in the year 2000 and it is still a popular purchase amongst traders and investors.

Josh Lukeman is an proprietary trader and technical analyst at Troubh Fund Management. He has worked for Morgan Stanley and was known well for his technical expertise, Lukeman produced regular (and popular) technical analysis bulletins for Morgan Stanley's trading floor.

It's about Day Trading

One of the unique points of the trading book is that it is about day trading. Many trading authors focus their writing on longer-term trading (usually swing trading) and are often longer-term traders themselves. Lukeman's trading book is about day trading but the teachings are just as applicable to longer-term trading as well.

It covers a variety of Trading Topics

The Market Maker's Edge is not just about technical analysis, it is very much well-rounded. The book teaches risk and money management, basic fundamentals and other essential trading principles. 'The Market Maker's Edge' is a great book for someone new to trading who needs reliable material.

It's Gripping

The trading book has plenty of illustrations and the language is easy to read. The book requires very little effort and keeps the reader interested.

The Market Maker's Edge covers a good range of essential trading principles and shares some valuable insights. For newer traders the book is perfect. I like the day trading aspect of the publication. I thoroughly enjoyed The Market Maker's Edge and think that the book is generally not given as much credit as it deserves.

The Complete Investment Banking Course - Trading Course Review

The Complete Investment Banking Course is not a trading course. It does not offer insights into technical analysis, money management, trading strategies or provide other typical trading course content - I understand this.
