Pit Bull: Lessons from Wall Street's Champion Day Trader is the autobiography of Martin Schwartz, a highly successful day trader that specialised in stocks, futures and options. Martin quit his job as a financial analyst and bought a seat on the American Stock Exchange, where he began trading stocks, options and futures.
Below is my review of Pit Bull: Lessons from Wall Street's Champion Day Trader...
The Trading Insight's are invaluable
I could write a whole blog post about the insights and advice that Martin shares in his trading autobiography. Some of my favourites include 'don't beat yourself; if you've got a plan that's working, stick to it', 'keep your priorities straight', 'preparation pays' and 'nobody ever lay on their deathbed wishing they'd worked harder'. If you are looking to gain a professional retail view with first-hand advice and insights, this is the book for you.
It's Inspiring
Every trading autobiography and biography that I have read has always been inspiring. Pit Bull by Martin Schwartz is no different. Martin is honest about his doubts and hesitation to begin trading and details his decision to leave his employment and follow his dream to become a trader. The story and success of Martin Schwartz in truly inspirational.
It's very well written
The book is easy to read but incredibly detailed. As I read the book, I felt emotionally attached to Martin's stories. I have not read many autobiographies that are as well written as this one.
Summary
I highly recommend Pit Bull: Lessons from Wall Street's Champion Day Trader. I am confident that most would agree that it is one of the best trading autobiographies available.
