Book Review: Reminiscences of a Stock Operator

reminiscences of a stock operator review
Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is authored by Edwin LeFevre. Edwin was a trained mining engineer turned journalist. During his career he produced several books, including Wall Street Stories and The Making of a Stockbroker.

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is considered one of the most beneficial investment books by many in the financial trading industry. It is a biography about the trading career of Jesse Livermore, one of the most successful speculators in history. Jesse came from humble beginnings, the book details his trading failures to trading success.

Below is my review of Reminiscences of a Stock Operator...

It's a biography

If you have read my other trading book reviews, you will know that trading biographies and autobiographies are my absolute favourite. They usually detail a journey of trading failure to trading success - very inspiring. Reminiscences is a biography and is a biography worth reading.

The insights are invaluable

Jesse Livermore was not an instant success (most are not). The book provides amazing insights into how he started to become profitable and provides great detail into his mindset and decisions. The book is reassuring and should give all readers a boost of motivation, inspiration and desire to achieve. The trading book provides advice from Jesse and is very much a handbook to trading success.

It's well-written

Edwin Lefevre was a great author. His books are interesting and engaging.

This book is a must-have for anyone serious about financial trading. The detailed insights and personal experiences of Jesse Livermore may provide much needed guidance on trading success. If you are going to read a book about financial trading, this is the book that you need to read!

The Complete Investment Banking Course - Trading Course Review

The Complete Investment Banking Course is not a trading course. It does not offer insights into technical analysis, money management, trading strategies or provide other typical trading course content - I understand this. The reason why I wanted to take and review this course is that many financial traders have an active interest in investment banking and their role within equity, debt and other financial markets.
