Springboard your Trading - Course Review

springboard your trading logo
Springboard your Trading offers a 'Learn to Trade the News' on-line course. The course is very popular and has many positive reviews. It is hosted over Udemy, so the course is very user-friendly and presented in good quality audio and visual.

Below is my review of the 'Learn to Trade the News' course offered by Springboard your Trading...

It's money worth spent

The course offers a lot of high-quality content for a bargain price. With the coupon code 'TASTER15', the 'Learn to Trade the News' course is only £45.00 - you won't find another course that is this price competitive. You also get a lot of material for the amount the course costs.

It's unique

I know of no other course that teaches retail traders how to trade and benefit from news events - most other courses focus on technical analysis and studying price charts. The aim and content of the course is unique.

It explains a complex subject with simplicity

Tom gives some in-depth insights into currency related news events and offers a well-rounded approach to trading fundamentals. His approach and content is simple to understand and very effective.

Tom is the real thing

Tom has been a trading educator and trader for several years. He has numerous live trading videos available on-line and shares some of his trading results. Tom is not an ex-hedge fund trader, previous broker or bank trader, but he is a real-life retail trader. He has a lot to share and can be trusted.

Some criticisms...

Some of Tom's content is slightly misleading - especially his video on choosing a broker. For example, Tom explains that a STP market provider (the opposite to a market maker) go to the inter-bank market to match client positions. This is actually not entirely true. STP brokers are a mix of ECN brokerage (true market providers) and market makers. They can take the other side of client positions and also can have a dealing desk - Tom mentions that they don't. Tom also teaches that some brokers went bust during the SNB/CHF incident because they were market makers. This is also not totally true. There are other things taught during certain videos that are also slightly misleading.

I also found the course a bit tedious at times. I suggest having plenty of breaks and going through the course content in small chunks rather than watching content for hours on end - it is not the most engaging content - at times it felt like a chore to sit through some of the material.

If you want to deepen your knowledge and understanding of trading the news (fundamental analysis) and how news events influence the Forex markets, then the course at Springboard your Trading is your best bet (and perhaps the only option available!). The course is well-worth the cost if using the discount code. There is plenty of content but you may be left feeling a little bored at times.

The Complete Investment Banking Course - Trading Course Review

The Complete Investment Banking Course is not a trading course. It does not offer insights into technical analysis, money management, trading strategies or provide other typical trading course content - I understand this. The reason why I wanted to take and review this course is that many financial traders have an active interest in investment banking and their role within equity, debt and other financial markets.
